Hello there,
Is there someone who try to change on C5 old type of headlights, Valeo 6206H8, with new one from restayling model, Valeo 6206V8 ?
If so, is it easy, it looks like the connector is the same ?
Thank you.

I suspect the later halogen lamp units will have different a different wiring loom, as the W5W sidelight is not there and the HP24W DRLs were replaced with LEDs.

Wiring loom is same. You only need diagbox configuration if you had sidelights on with DRL with old headlights. Led-stirps won´t glow at full power if sidelights are on, they only go at DRL mode when sidelights are off. Hence you cannot have DRL´s and rear sidelights on at the same time with LED-headlights.

Ok. That means in theory it is something what can handle and make it working, since, if I am right, there is the same of the rest bulbs, H1 and H7.

The harnesses are not the same part number for confirmation.
When the halogen lights changed to LED sidelights from build number 12412 (02/11/2010) the wiring loom part number also changed with the new design. So factually the wiring loom is NOT the same and that is one reason I suspect why the lights will not function correctly.
Having checked the data this morning, I wanted to clarify this, but like anything, if you fit different kit with different wiring, then you have to expect issues.
