Clutch pedal contact cable

I recently bought a Peugeot Partner 2006. I am aboute to restore it at trying to fix most of the problems indicated or found. On of them are a snped cable from the clutch pedal contact. The cable is hanging lose connected to the contact at the pedal and I can nou find where it should be connectd in the other end. How to find the other end and what is the function?
