After almost 5 year and 80,000 trouble free miles in my 2015 Citroen C4 1.6 Bluehdi 120 I’ve traded it in for a 2020
The C4 was probably the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, had it all over Europe and never had a single issue. Great car and exception for what it was on the motorway.
Before the C4 I had a C5 Mk1 estate and covered 280k then a 2009 C5 X7 and covered 180k. The X7 was a 2009 1.6hdi, I re-torqued the injectors every 10k. The steering rack was replaced early on under warranty but it went again at 140k. Sold it at 180k, a good milage and it’s still on the road.
I was missing having a larger car so got the 508 as there’s not an alternative Citroen large saloon. Not a fan of crossovers or SUV’s. It’s a 508 GT Line fastback, it’s an exceptional car and comes very well equipped, could have went cheaper and went for a Vauxhall Insignia or a Ford Mondeo but not for me.
I waited to see Citroen launch the new C4 before deciding to buying the 508. The new C4 looks great, but decided to go back to a larger saloon.
I do hope Citroen launches a new C5 saloon/estate in the future, PSA knows how to build great saloon cars.
