New Xantia Owner in Norfolk

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

New Xantia Owner in Norfolk

Unread post by Nad2010 »

Hi,
I am a first time owner of a Citroen, and wishing I'd done it sooner.
Just joined the Forum , and am a very happy owner of a 3.0 V6 Xantia Exclusiv, which I got last week and enjoyed a very pleasurable journey home.
Had the opportunity to properly go over the car this weekend, and everything good 🤞.....checked tyre pressures , all showing 28lb psi, after increasing pressure up to manufacturer specification noticed immediately that the ride had even further improved. The car wants for nothing really apart from replacement chrome trim for bumper inserts as a bit mottled, which I will search through related topics on Forum later.
Regards to all

:-D Welcome to the forum Nigel. You have picked a cracker to start your citroen passion. It grips ypu and you can't live without one now, but you can have another car too if needs must! :-D Have a good look around the forum from the Board Index above and join in whatever takes your fancy. There are a tremendous range of subjects to read so make the most of it!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Hi Nigel, and welcome to the forum.
A splendid line-up of vehicles, not least the V6 Xantia.
Do post some photos of it (and the fleet) when you can.

I have some fond memories of working in Bungay, including Clays, and the tiny Castle Hotel.

Tell us a bit more about your V6. There are not many surviving, so someone here may know more of the history of yours.

Many thanks for the comments, and will post photos as soon as I can get the garage door back open, the spring for the up/over door separated from the frame last week and now waiting for it to be fixed this week.
I loved Citroen cars and for a short while in 1990's worked as a driver for the Charnwood Car Company, Citroen dealership in Loughborough, now sadly gone.

Well done for choosing the FCF :-D

The FCF looks after Norfolk better than any Car forum in the World, and here's an easy thread to contribute to

What do you know about Norfolk? Worth a read through :-D

Some of us like a classic car too and one or two have MGB's so maybe a photo of your MGB could grace this thread

Lots to join in with and easy enough to make a start.

As requested, a few photos taken last week, of Xantia and MGB
The Xantia is immaculate internally and externally, apart from a slight "mottling" of the front and rear bumper trim, that had been replaced by previous owner, but had been cleaned subsequently with something that appears to have caused a reaction.
With only 45 000 miles, the car was first owned by Citroen, and has had 3 previous owners. The CD changer and instructions are still in cellophane!

The Scimitar is booked for a respray in July 2021, , possibly Ford Daytona Yellow, paintwork is full of micro blistering

I have to agree with Neil, a very nice bunch. The Xantia looks amazing as does the B and I used to be a Scimitar fan, well I owned 4 Reliants in my time! :-D
