Cabin/pollen filter C5 X7

Unread post by Paul-R »

Simple question this time. Replacement pollen filter for my X7. Are there three different grades available? Part numbers and prices please.

I think you can get a bio-active one from MANN filters called Frecious Plus or something... not sure if it's all marketing, but they sell more basic versions too so it must be better in some way.

I think you get a choice of - with activated carbon or no activated carbon.

Yes, I'm tending that way myself. Just need the OE part numbers so I can compare.

I'm struggling to find the high quality filter on Ebay. All the part numbers bring the same range of filters, mostly from Blue Print it seems. Nearly all claim to be carbon type so I'm just going to go for the cheapest (£11.80) of those. I'm not going to pay £40 - £50 for a filter!

They do come up every so often when the dealers have a clear out, but the premium ones are probably special order mainly for those that suffer with allergies I assume. I got the Gas & Particle one at about a third of the price at the time so snapped it up.
