Radiator hose delivery problems

Post by Aneirinh »

Just wondering if anyone else out there is struggling to get coolant hoses off citroen. I've had a top hose for my Activa on order since Oct 20th!! One turned up about a month ago, but it wasn't even vaguely similar to the original.
Common problem, or am I the only one?

I think this is typical of Citroen parts suppy. I have got some external trim on order since last June with a promise of 4 to 6 weeks delivery and I am still waiting.
Have you tried GSF?

To be honest, I haven't. I sort of assumed it would be a bit too specialised for them, but I'm popping in to the local shop tomorrow so I'll give em a try.

[8D][:D][:p][:D] - typical [}:)]
- not just for Citroen - but any main dealer [:D][:D]
You wait for ages to receive parts promised within 2 weeks - then the parts are way out of any sensible usage ...
Imagine if those people were up to their jobs [8)] - I suppose you'd get a heart attack [:p]
I have a dream :
1) parts delivered within promised timespan
2) a detailed discussion with the customer, ensuring correct part ordered
3) correct part received
4) polite, friendly & prompt customer service when things screw up
5) mechanics who care to listen to customers
6) mechanics who wish to use their brains, not just starting from one corner replacing parts
That would revolutionise the world !

Don't forget the interchangeability between Peugeot and Citroen parts. I've found my local Peugeot dealer to be pretty good getting parts, the best being me phoning in the morning to see if they had a rad bottom hose and them getting one by the afternoon.

Our local town Citroen parts guys are fine. I can't remember the last time anything was longer than next day... or very rarely 48hr.
Usually phone by 4pm to get anything for 11am following day.
