Etoile is 'star' in French. I recall that my Cibié Oscar+ driving lamps on my Chevette in the late 70s had Iode printed on them and may even have had H3 bulbs. Could have been H1 bulbs though. E2 means that the lamp passed the E accreditation in France.

Iode will be Halogen.

Indeed, should have mentioned that. Cibié made the fabled Biode headlamps which had two halogen bulbs in them I had a pair of those in my MG Midget. Marchal made an equivalent two bulb headlamp called the Amplilux and I had a pair of those in the MGB. Sadly one of each of them were broken in accidents.
