Hi All,
Does anyone know of a supplier for a vinyl roof covering for a CX Estate?

Re: Vinyl roof covering
No, but I added vinyl roofs to two cars when they were the fashion in the 80's. I used spray contact adhesive and upholstery vinyl material. My Mum sowed three pieces together as I covered the rear quarter panels.
It it not that difficult to do.

Re: Vinyl roof covering
Try 'martrim.co.uk' - choice of finishes and colours.
Others come up with a google search for vinyl roof covering.
Woolies.co.uk do all kinds of classic car trim, but don't seem to list vinyl roof.

Re: Vinyl roof covering
Little chance of finding one 'ready to fit'.
Even cars leaving the factory (decades ago) with vinyl roofs had a sheet of the material, with or without seams, applied over the roof panel, then trimmed off.
I think this is the way you'd have to do the CX.

Hi Chris,
Yes it looks that way, the roofs on other cars seem to have a seam along the flat top section before going vertical down the sides, not sure that could be replicated as DIY?

Re: Vinyl roof covering
Vinyl roof covering is usually vinyl with a fabric backing/base. As such it could be machine stitched, and then the stitching sealed, from both sides. Maybe be better not to seam at all.
Why not discuss with the supplier? They may be able to help, or advise, and with suitable adhesive, too.
