RD45 falling over? 🤔

This unit is the RD4 or RD45 system, made by Continental.
Usually standard equipment unless another system is specified as an option. There are Single & Dual Tuner versions. RD45 features over the RD4: The RD45 has USB connectivity & integrated Bluetooth module supporting Phone & Audio Streaming.

You've lost me there on bothoo Stu...

Get diagbox on it and see if there are any codes. If not run some actuator tests, which will indicate if the button pushes are working or not.

As for Bluetooth what is not working exactly?

Try first unpairing ALL devices from both phone and Head Unit
Then do a BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure
Then repair first using the head unit. If that solves the bluetooth issue, fine, if not:
Unpair all devices again from phone and head unit, then re-pair again, but this time pair from the mobile not the head unit.

Bear in mind that after a reset or unpairing of the phones, it can take a while to syhcnronise the contacts again.

Cheers Marc for the reply, sorry about description, I was on the phone when creating.
Sometimes the unit works fine, both the source button and the Bluetooth. But for instance today after making a couple of calls on the road the bluetooth disconnected never to connect again, even after leaving the car locked for over an hour. With no Bluetooth I decided to listen to some music from the USB drive, which is when I found I could not select it using the 'Source' button, it just stayed on radio.
I know of the 'Source' button error more as I don't use the bluetooth that much. It is very possible that tomorrow when I go to the car it will all work fine - fingers crossed.
So will the Diagbox detect an intermittant fault? Or will I be able to force the fault?
I have tried the unpair / re-pair already but after a while I get the same issue, I have ot tried a BSI reset yet, so I will try that this weekend, time permitting.

Ok, try that next.

Diagbox will be able to see if there are any faults reported - but it can check whether the button requests are working and that they are registering or not when pressed.

As expected working fine today, no problems, source button and bluetooth. Busy a moment will try to get Diagbox hooked up next weekend and see what I can find.
Will post update next weekend.

Well, just spent 1/2 hour+ in the car trying to see if there are any problems, but as far as I can tell it is all working fine..........today..........no faults, apart from microphone, but that a lie as it works. So I think I am going to have to rerun the diagnostics when it does not work..............hopefully that will be on the drive and when I have time.
