Don't know the car but I'd say to take the door card off and see what's rattling.

I do note that my drivers door makes a knocking noise when being closed. It comes from the check strap, which seems to be a common failing with PSA vehicles. I haven't yet attempted to remove the door card to replace it.

take a video so we can hear the noise if possible. It is a creaking, grating popping noise, or is it something that rattles as in something being broken off and moving around?

If it's creaking and groaning when you open and shut the door, some silicon oil sprayed into the hinges and into the latching connections can help eliminate the noise. Or use some good marine grade grease to protect them.

If you think the middle one (called the door stop) has come broken off, it should be obvious as the door will swing without resistance and won't have any resistance to stay in the standard positions.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Check that any screws which fix the strap onto the body are tight if DS5 has any visible. If loose on other cars this can cause a cracking sound.
