307 1.6 HDi fuel filter blue connector?

Hi.Does anyone know for what purpose is blue connector for fuel filter?There is no connectors on fuel filter just blank plastic space as you can see on picture..?Tnx

It's the 'water in diesel' sensor that your vehicle is not fitted with. Ignore the lower blank connector socket - that was not used - if the vehicle is fitted with one, the sensor would go into the circular area above and the electrical connector would plug into the sensor.
