The "C5" Gallery (Originals please)

Unread post by NewcastleFalcon »

In the interests of easy participation a simple thread. Lets see how it goes

You can even take a photo of your own vehicle!, or it can be an easy spotting thread...although a C5 on the road or in the car park isnt that common a sight these days.

Of course creativity is encouraged, interesting locations, compositions, nightime shots, beach shots...anything.

Just imagine what are the chances of the joy perhaps of strange juxtapositions in the car park?......

Three in a row....... a C3/C4/and a C5 parked next to each other or maybe a .
Five in a Row for a poker hand......C1/C2/C3/C4/C5.

Well lets get off to the most boring start possible, a silver estate....apologies to silver estate owners :-D
.and if autotrader is to believed that is a CITROEN C5 VTR HDI 2011 (September 2011 reg)

Decent start Gibbo, with mine that makes a pair of High pressure Direct Injection VTR Estates....in Silver!
My example has a 1,560 cc engine and 129g/km emissions.

I found this site to decipher the "Citroen Acronyms" used to decribe their models.

Citroen Acronyms explained in full: what do all those letters mean?

So if its right The VTR bit is the Standard Trim level of the C5, followed by the VTR+, and then the Exclusive.

Yes I prefer that picture myself Neil, but I put up the one next to my mysteriously disappearing lampost to match up with the silver cars. Then I decided I really didn't like that shot with the back of the MX3 in sight so I added the full profile to be different!! :-D

Its a pity the google street view cameras weren't there to capture the moment too, and add a c5 to the street scene :-D

It was indeed having a nice meander, but back to Hertfordshire from Lincoln where I bought it and collected it from. That's why it is so clean!! :-D

..and don't forget C5 spotters.......the C5 remains part of the Citroen stable of new cars in 2020.....in the form of the delightful C5 Aircoss SUV....You can even get it in a plug-in hybrid.......and the hybrid is £10,000 more expensive than the non-hybrid but it does have a claimed range of 31 miles from its electric bit. I couldn't be less impressed.

Here's the video if you can stand it, but if they manage to sell any and you spot one in a car park an original photo could well qualify for a booby prize on the thread :-D

I realised that I don't have many photos of the X7 but here's one of the car in 2016 shortly after I bought it on our first trip down through France in it. Pictured here in a car park in Thiers.
