Citroen C4 VTS - Light of parking sensor and ESP switch is not working

Post by lancia58 »

Hi

When turning on the car light the ESP and Parking sensor switches do not lit, as well as the door locking switch. The orange light on the switches are turned on and off when pressing the switch. I detached the switches and fed the light pins from external power supply and they do lit ( not surprisingly since the light source is LED ). Is there any fuse that if brunet will cause this ? Any other idea ?
Thanks

Hi

I added a pic. The orange light ( circled ) turns on and off when pressing the switch.

Are you talking about the back illumination of the switches? Does everything else illuminate that should when the lights are switched on?
On the ESP button should be a 6 way brown connector?
Pin 5 is the earth & pin 1 should be a sidelight live supply. This comes from pin 7 of the 10 way black connector on the BSI via splice EV13 which is located above the steering column.
Best just to check all of the fuses.

Yes I am talking on the back illumination. But these switches and the door lock switch everything else illuminates. I detached the ESP and Parking sensor switches and applied power to the back illumination pins and in both the back illumination was on. You mean the fuses behind the ESP and Parking sensor switches ? Do you have the wiring diagram for the back light for these and the door lock switch ?

Can you confirm that there is a power supply at pin 7 of the 10 way black connector on the BSI when the lights are switched on?
I mean checkall fuses including the under bonnet ones.

The BSI is the unit you can see in your pictures with all the fuses in it.

I checked and there is not a power supply at pin 7 of the 10 way black connector on the BSI when the lights are switched on.
I checked all fuses all OK.

Thanks
