DS5H Inflation Detectors
Now I find out which wheels don't have inflation or puncture detectors. The question would be whether I can equip them; my tires are 215/55 R17 93V

Re: DS5H Inflation Detectors
What is the VIN code of your car?
If it was sold as new after November 1, 2014, it will have to have a TPMS system fitted. Once you have supplied the vehicle identification number (VIN) I can see whether they were fitted to your DS5 or not.

For my education. Is this a genuine pressure measuring system or the version that monitors and compares the rolling diameter using the abs sensor data?

Re: DS5H Inflation Detectors
I'm waiting for his VIN so I can see what, if any system was fitted. Most PSA vehicles 2014 and earlier were fitted with dedicated TPMS system that consisted of the TPMS wheel transmitters to a receiving unit and ECU in the vehicle. Later vehicles had the cheaper fitted versions without the wheel transmitters.

Re: DS5H Inflation Detectors
Ok, so I've checked your specification and the vehicle was not fitted with them. Your car was built 21st January 2014, so before the legal requirement in Europe.

Re: DS5H Inflation Detectors
You can buy retrofit systems from Amazon for £25. No idea how good they are.

Re: DS5H Inflation Detectors
The newer manufacturer systems are indirect - so they don't have sensors on the wheels. They use the ESP system wheel speed sensors to calculate variances in wheel speed that would determine if the tyre was under inflated.
But you can retrofit aftermarket sensors with a receiver unit that is mounted inside the car somewhere.
