Hydraulic tank replacement

Post by Jetjockey »

If hydraulic tank has cracked.

Is it available separately from the pump assembly, what would be the cost, and can it be fitted without removing the pump assembly?

Thank you.

LDS Tank B.PNG
Remove the nuts (1).

LDS Tank CV.PNG
Tilt the LDS fluid reservoir onto its side.
Uncouple:
  • The pipe (2)
  • The pipe (3)
Remove: The LDS fluid reservoir.

Refitting

CAUTION: Replace the "clic" clips that you have removed with new "clic" clips.

Offer up: The LDS fluid reservoir.

Couple up:
  • The pipe (3)
  • The pipe (2)
Fit the nuts (1) and tighten to 0.5 daN.m.

When finished bleed the hydraulic circuit (introduce about 0.5 Bar pressure into the tank), raise to highest setting, then to the lowest setting, then turn the wheel lock to lock very slowly a few times, switch engine off and check LDS fluid is between 'a' & 'b' below:

Check no air bubbles or 'fizz', and repeat if otherwise, checking the level (always on the lowest setting).
