Hi before I go shopping would anyone know what I need to look for when buying rear spheres on a non hydroactive 1996 1.8 hatch xantia . Thanks

Sphere spec: 400/30/1.2 (cc/bars/damper)
Citroen pt.no. 5272 34
and a new sealing ring (comes with Cit spheres, and some others).

Opinion says avoid Lizarte and maybe Monroe brands.
IHFS (Sphere Shop, Glasgow) have a reasonable reputation.
Don't buy any stock more than a year or so old, as gas pressure may already be reducing. Mfg date will be marked on Cit spheres, might be on others. Avoid "reconditioned".

When I have bought spheres from AEP Direct they have had a manufacturing date on them.
