Citroen C3 A51 Yr 2011 - Right reversing Light not working <Answered>

Hi All,

I am a newbie DIY car enthusiastic.

I have an issue where suddenly my right reverse light has stopped working. The left one works fine.

My car model is C3 (A51) 5 DOOR SALOON 1.6 VTi 16v 120. It's a 2011 model.

I changed the bulb but it's still the same.

Can anyone please tell me what should I try next to fix this?

Where would be the fuse for it? Front Fusebox or the Cabin one? I have the maintenance manual but can't find the information under it.

Also can you please tell me what is the use of Reverse Light switch?

First thing is to pop your VIN code up - as some of these models only have 1 reversing lamp - and others have 2 - depending on specification.

I'm not sure what you mean by reverse light switch? If you are referring to the parking assistance (if you have reverse sensors fitted), then there may be a switch that deactivates the function (in cases where you are towing / using a trailer - otherwise the sensors would be giving a false reading whilst you have something on the towbar.

Ok, so confirmed: you only have one reversing lamp on the left. The third lamp down on the right side is the fog lamp (and takes a different bulb - so make sure you have the correct one in). The rear fog lamp only comes on when you activate the rear fog lamp on the lighting stalk (and only when the main headlamps are switched on).
