Help Please forum brains... 2.0HDI Expert

Unread post by Stinkwheel »

Hello folks,

I've got a daily driver 2002 Peugeot Expert van with the RHZ engine code 2.0HDI. I'm about to have to do a clutch due to it starting to slip. But don't know if its DMF or SMF or what. Any clues on being able to tell what's fitted before taking it all apart?

(and i'm sorry, I realise I have posted in the citroen section, its force of habit as I usually only have citroens :) )

2002 will probably be the 8 valve engine, if its 90 hp it probably won't have a DMF but the 110 does. If it has an intercooler down beside the radiator it will be 110, if not it probably won't.

I'll move this to the correct section. Post your VIN up as that is the only way to confirm what you have for sure.

Thanks Peter, I’m fairly sure it is the 8 valve, but you know, I’ve never even looked to see if it has an inter cooler. It’s been that reliable all I’ve done is change oil and things and drive it. I will have a poke about and see if it’s Inter cooled or not.

And thank you Givemeabreak, for sorting my posting error. The VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff], if that helps provide a conclusive answer I would be most appreciative.

Yes, just follow the pipe from the inlet manifold, it will either go straight to the turbo or the intercooler.

An RHZ engine code is a 110bhp model.

Brilliant, thanks folks. Now I can order up a kit before getting stuck in.
