307 hdi diesel noise absorb...?

I got one strange idea and im interested is someone tried already that :)I have this Audi a6 noise insulation for hood,will it quiet more engine noise on mu 307 hdi if I put it under fabric insulation which is there on hood door?Tnx in advance

Does you engine have a sound-absorbing under-tray? These help deaden diesel engine noise.
