Hi
I am having intermittant problems with starting the car as mentioned in another strand (x) for my mk 2 2004 berlingo 2.0 HDI and would like to remove the fuel pressure regulator which is at the end of the fuel pump
and then ideally test it and/ or try a new one to see if this is the cause of my problems - does anyone have any experience with this- obviously do it after the car is stopped for a while - it looks like it should just unsrew
but I wanted to check before I have a go, it is under a plate which I have already confirmed will remove . see pic of what I am referring to.
Also once it is removed- how could I test that is functioning properly?
Many thanks
Jim

Re: remove replace and test the fuel pressure regulator
For anyone going to attempt this- just to say that it is pretty straight foreward: you need a 36mm open ended spanner to unscrew it and you have to remoove a plate and fuel pipes
to get access. Unfortunately didnt solve my intermittent starting problem though.
