Diagbox

Post by Nelix »

Hi All

I have been using Peugeot Planet for a long time now and decided that I should upgrade to Diagbox. My interface is Rev B so can only go to 7.58 until I replace it.

I’ve installed and activated ver 7.02 but when I start the application I it opens with a black screen with the icons across the top and in the centre of the screen it just says “Error”. I have to go into task manager to close it down.

I’m trying to install it an a Win7 laptop.

Has anyone come across this before and how did you resolve it?

Thanks

Nelix

You might be hard pressed to get it working past 7.02 if you have an older interface, yet alone 7.58!

Next, have you installed it over a stand-alone PP2000 installation and what exactly are the errors - any codes or munbers?

I’m led to believe that the revision B interface will work up to 7.58 but I’ll bear in mind that this may be misinformation.

This laptop has never had PP installed on it. There is no error message or numbers, just a small grey box with the word Error in the middle of the screen with a small red dot.

I’ve tried uninstalling and cleaning several times but still the same.

I’ve just noticed the post regarding Firmware Versions on the interface relating to which Diagbox version they will work on.

Looks like I’ll be upgrading to a newer interface sooner than I thought lol.

There’s a lot of sellers out there but how can I be sure it’s a full chip version with latest firmware?

The first thing to look for is what vehicles the seller says it WON'T support. If, for example, it will not work with a C5 it is almost certain the unit does not have the full opto-coupler set.

Saying that, Easy Diagnostics do a very good DiagBox clone. It is NOT the cheapest, but it has the full set, and also has one year aftercare. They have no association with the Forum, but Forum members do get a discount. There is a procedure for this;
