Hi All
I fancy a full diagnostic kit, I have a Delphi and WOW system but the functions seem limited on my Citroen.
What does anybody use or recommend
Thanks
Steve

Re: Diagnostics
You really need Diagbox for PSA / DS cars. It is a clone of the dealer level diagnostics and is far more capable than any third part system.
Many, including myself have these kits.
See this post for a discount from a UK supplier if interested, but if planning to purchase a cheaper one elsewhere, be careful to ensure it is a full-chip fully CAN compatible version. These tend not to be less that the £100 mark or you could end up with one that will not communicate with your ALL your vehicle's systems.

You'll also need a dedicated (recommended) laptop to run it on as the installation is messy.

Re: Diagnostics
The only advantage of their Lap top is the software will be installed and maybe a new battery....a Win 98 laptop is cheep as chips on Gumtree and with help from here at FCF it is mostly (long job) not very problematic.

Re: Diagnostics
You can pick up a Win 7 Ex. Corporate laptop for around the £80 mark and a diagnostic kit for about £118 - so say £200 to set it up yourself (it is a bit fiddly) or get them to supply the lot. There is a 15% discount for members don't forget - see my previous link.....Steve Walsh wrote: 06 Dec 2019, 15:49 Hi Marc

You won't need anything else leads wise unless you are planning to work on commercial ranges like the Dispatch, Nemo, etc. as these need an additional module - but for passenger cars no.

Re: Diagnostics
i am thinking it might save me money in the future if i buy this diagbox, already got and old laptop.. i would like to diagnose my constantly running (full speed) cabin fan. i am reliable informed that it will be the control box in the passenger side of the centre console area under the dash. But it would be good practice to use this diagnostic box also to take screen shots for future cross referencing. maybe i get myself a crimbo present.

Re: Diagnostics
Have a look at my illustrated guide in the How To section on replacing the Pollen Filter - this shows how to get at the pollen filter - but along the way, picture J9 shows you the Blower Motor Control Unit which I have pointed out. You can use the guide to see how to get at it:

Re: Diagnostics
The instructions for setting up Lexia and Diagbox all seem to be copy and paste jobs of very dodgy earlier stuff, some almost indecipherable and all leading you often in the wrong direction re. connect or not to the net.
How about you trying to do a proper job of writing a step by step 'how to' Marc?
I might actually get mine up and running.
