2006 Citroen relay. 2.2 pollen filter replacement.

My in cab fan isn't blowing very efficiently, I think it must be partially blocked somewhere so thought it would be an idea to change the pollen filter first. However after googling where it is I can't find anything that resembles a filter housing. Any idea where it could be?

You don't have one on this model - so I would turn your attention to the air intake - check for debris, leaves or blockages.

Have finally got around to investigating this. When you turn the area selector, is to blow onto the windscreen or feet on the rear of that is a cable. The other end of that cable is the part/s I think I need to replace. Any idea what these are called, or are you aware of a full comprehensive parts catalogue I can look through?

I should have put more detail there.
When I turn the selector I can see the first bit of the mechanism moving but not the second part, it seems there should be a little metal rod connecting the two. This bit is missing so when I use the selector nothing happens and the system is kinda stuck in a no man's land.

Ok, so I think you may be looking at part (3) below, the heater control lever assembly. Item (4) combines the other levers (A) & (B).

Part (3) is part number: 6451T3
Part (4) is part number: 6451T4

But these are no longer available from Citroen. I've included the part numbers to help you search for a second hand one if necessary.
