Alloy wheel paint colours

I’ve tried a bit of a search on here but (probably because I’m being a bit dumb !) I can’t see anything about the following.

I know where we find our bodywork paint colour code but how do we find out the colour of our alloy wheels ? I’ve got some (pleasantly few !) scuffs on mine that would probably touch up reasonably well. However there are a million shades of silver and I suspect the wrong one could make them look even worse that leaving them alone !

I had the same problem with my c6! The answer is they don't do a code! So, find a good car paint supplier and use their paint chips.you will get pretty close,and overspray a little, lacquer and it won't show.
