Hi, I have a Citroen C4 Picasso (B78) with 1.6HDi (115) engine.
VIN - VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I was wondering where the EGR valve location is and if it's worth taking it apart and cleaning it?
Can it be cleaned, or does it never need touching?
If it can be cleaned, is it best to just clean or replace?
I have no issues with my car, no errors or anything, I just want to keep on top of maintaining it.
Thanks

I think you might want to reconsider if it's not broken - it's at the back of the engine shown below, item (1)

Cannot see any access issues, perfect for the DIY mechanic to do on a saturday morning, once someone has spent 2 days removing the engine and placing it on a bench as per above picture lol

And remember chaps this is a C4 Picasso we're talking about, so about as much spare room as there is in a pair of Linford Christie's Lycra shorts.

Re: EGR Valve location? Clean or replace?
Please don't advise blanking of the EGR. This is illegal and the forum will not support modifications of this nature.

Re: EGR Valve location? Clean or replace?
You could always use a can of wynns EGR3 spray for cleaning in situ. You just spray it in air intake & it also cleans the whole inlet track.
Hopefully it will clean the inlet manifold that the EGR valve is currently making a mess of.
