General X7 Chat
Wasn't the X7 touted as "Unmistakably German"?

Re: C5 x7 electric seats in car with non-electric seats ?
I remember the adverts, I wouldn't say 'unmistakably' but its certainly built very much better than the early ones.

Re: C5 x7 electric seats in car with non-electric seats ?
With the exception of the steering rack.
Mine is loosing very little fluid, did over 1000 miles to Yorkshire and around last month, only used about an eggcup and a half, so I just carry a can of LDS round with me. MOT out in February, don't know what will happen then but I think my kind man might pass it if its not actually dripping, mine is just wet.
I think its a brilliant car, even better than the XM at slow speeds and this is a steel sprung one. As my wife's 406 has died we are going to look at another C5 next week. The one I am going to look at has never had a steering rack! (a replacement that is of course).

Why would the rack put you off ??
Budget for it in the price and just protect it if you change it ......better to know, inspect and budget/protect.

Re: General X7 Chat
Sorry
Yes I know, I was looking at the place in Wakefield that will collect, recon and deliver it for about 180 pounds but it seems they don't last long, so as long as it keeps going its a lot easier to top it up. I probably will have to change it eventually but at 80 I don't have the energy or stamina that I did so will put it off as long as possible.
