Dial Emma for Help??

Unread post by Haych »

hello, i just got my first citroen the other day a white 4 dr 2.0lt hdi exclusive. been driving it for approx 300 miles when i stopped to check the oil , as you do . Any how the result was what looked like a high oil level, not 100% as maybe residue off the dipstick tube??? So that is one big worry. Only the next thing i noticed is that the dip stick plastic end had broken off down the dip stick tube #-o

So i am at a loss as what to do about either issue , any suggestions, a good diesel mechanic in the Chorley Lancs area would be a help

Please don't laugh too much :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

Ignore it - this happens quite commonly on these. It will stay in the sump and can't get thrown up as there is a guard there. Citroen stopped bothering to retrieve them as there were so many failures.

The new modified dipstick should resolve this.

What's your VIN - so I can see what system you have for oil checks?

There is a list of garages recommended by members who have used them here
And a map here
The closest to you looks to be Savoy Garage.
Several satisfied customers among the membership. Mention the forum and you may get a discount - no promises there though.
