X7 front suspension leak

Have you checked the fluid level yet?

Put the car on lowest suspension on lowest setting to check on level ground:
The levels should be between the 'A' & 'B'

If the levels are correct, you may have a problem with the height corrector (s). Raise and lower the car several times Max to Min to 'work' the height correctors.

Thanks - it looks like it might be a fluid level problem. I should have checked.
I have some old LHM fluid made by Castrol. It says "New Formula" and that it is for hydraulic reservoirs marked LHM or LHM Plus.
It also says to B712710. Mind you it must be over ten years old, so I should probably get something newer!

Never use LHM or LHM Plus fluid in a C5!

The C5 uses Total LDS or Total Fluide DA exclusively - never use the green mineral fluid used in earlier systems it is not designed for these systems....
