no dialogue on global test

Unread post by harryp »

Have searched the forum but not found an answer.
Expecting to do a diagnostic for a forum member tomorrow, so thought I had better do a run on our 63 plate C4 Picasso. The laptop is only used for Diagbox and nothing else and was last used in 2018 prior to MOT, just in case....
All I get now is "No Dialogue" on every ECU on Global test.
Have checked the laptop over, no faults reported, the WiFI module is not present so no internet coms. No use inbetween, so guess nothing has changed from last use to this.
HELP. What can have gone wrong?
All/any suggestions welcome, especially ones that will fix the problem. :)
Thanks, Regards H

It is always possible that the fuse for the diagnostics port has failed.

What version of Diagbox are you running? Do you know whether you have a full chip interface? Do you know whether it is a Rev C chipset?

How long ago did you buy the Diagbox? What is the newest vehicle that you have been able to use Diagbox on prior to this?

Harry, can you clarify that it was the 63 Picasso you last used it on, or a different vehicle?

Previous reply didn't go.
Will check fuse in morning, if I can find it. Looks nothing like handbook and plugs have to be removed to access.
Lexia is fully chipped from Diagnostics and was working last year!

When you use Diagbox, Harry, make sure the WiFi adapter is enabled and switched on, but make sure it does not have a connection to your router.

Disabling or switching the adapter off can prevent Diagbox from working.

Next, if you have more than one USB port in your laptop, make sure you have allowed the driver to install on each USB port on the laptop. Windows should try and install the driver once it detects the USB in the port - allow it to install. Make sure you have not got power saving switched on, as this can switch off power to the USB ports to increase battery life.

Try again with the laptop connected to mains supply via an extension if you have one.

Just a few suggestions to try.
