Help with egr fault po400 & po402

Post by elsegoose »

Hi All, I am a returning member who now has a 2004 C5 series1 with a 2.0L Hdi RHZ engine. I have removed the EGR valve and its manifold and blanked off the ports in the inlet manifold. The car now runs well except for the recurring EGR fault codes. What can be done to stop the computer resetting the codes. Cheers & thanks, Bruce Elsegood, Sydney, Australia.

Simple, - clean or replace the EGR and unblank it. We don’t condone crippling of emissions systems on the forum, so please don’t ask for advice on how to defeat such systems.

It’s always better to address the issues rather than circumvent them. The vehicle is designed to work with these systems enabled and functioning. Expect issues if you try and bypass them.
