Is it possible to upgrade from RD45 to RT6?
Hey. I'm new on this forum and i really need help from you guys. I just bought used citroen c5 2.0HDI 163hp Exclusive car. They are normally have rd45 on my country but previous owner bought after market cyclone brand multimedia. It's really slow and i don't like it. I talked to authorized service for upgrade it to RT6 and he told me "it's not possible you have to change so many parts it will be too expensive" is that right ? I wanna use this car for a long years because i liked it. I wanted it to be original. If i can handle this i want to try original philips hifi sound system too. (It's never came to our contry even for optional). Thanks for every comment!

Re: Is it possible to upgrade from RD45 to RT6?
A couple of things:
You will need a new Multifunction DG4 screen
The RT6 system
Make a microphone wiring modification
Probably Change Aerials or wire in an independent GPS aerial
USB Socket if you don't have it
The fascia panel will need to be replaced to fit the new screen (there are 2 panels - only one will work)
Will need configuring all the options with Diagbox
Amp: A very big project as this is a CAN Amplifier - all speakers will need changing, subwoofer installing, cables running etc; There is a section on here by someone that did this a while back - I'll see if I can locate it and update this post for you.
All this is a minimum, so yes your dealer is correct.
