I've got the chance to buy some black full leather manual seats from a S1 VSX. Will they fit in a S2 Xantia, and are they any better/more comfortable?
I've had my S2 W reg Xantia hdi a few months now. I like the car with the exception of one thing - the driving position/seat comfort. I get leg ache.
S1 leather manual seats better than S2 cloth? Will they fit?

No, you will get an AirBag warning light (seat sides in S2)
There are methods but they should not be used as ANY safety device should always stay in a car.

I would also say that the manual leather seats do not have a better posture than the cloth seats. You need a set of electric seats to get the adjustability.

Ah ok I forgot about the airbag. I could fit a resistor I suppose.
I read that even though they are manual, the leather seats might be more comfortable than mine being early ones from a 1993 car. The leather panels are vertical where as the cloth seats in my W reg Xantia are side to side - I don't know if that makes a difference

Removing a safety feature is not recommended.
I think you will find as a responsible organisation, this forum will not allow discussion on how to isolate the warning system....don't be offended if stuff is deleted if others start inserting links/advice on how-to-do

Hear, hear. I have no issue with promoting driving a car, an activity that I (like everyone who hasn't been under a rock for the past decade) knows with certainty is, as a matter of fact, significantly injurious both to our fellow citizens health and to the environment more widely. But I look down from my moral high ground at anyone considering disabling a warning light, presumably because of some faintly enhanced risk of injury. And before you ask, no, I don't recognise any conflict between these two apparently contradictory positions.Stickyfinger wrote: 02 Oct 2019, 08:32 I think you will find as a responsible organisation, this forum will not allow discussion on how to isolate the warning system....don't be offended if stuff is deleted if others start inserting links/advice on how-to-do

Point taken. However lets bare in mind that the Xantia diddnt actually have seat airbags for half of its production life. However I have said no to the seats.
Does anyone have any airbag seats for sale?
