Fred’s passenger exterior door handle has become a bit sticky. My mum can’t work it, I have to open the door for her.
I just hold the handle up and it takes a couple of seconds, then it opens.
I wonder if there’s a fault with the handle? The door opens normally from the inside.
(I’ve had another make of car where the handle cracks inside)

I have not heard of that problem, but think it is more likely to be wear or lack of lubrication in the latch mechanism.

Thank you! You were right, lack of lubricant in the catch. Gave it a spray of oil to clean it out, then some spray grease and it works perfectly.
In my defence, the one time I greased the drivers door years ago because it wouldn’t close properly made it far worse. Had to clean it all out again.
