So, I got the kit and instructions at the weekend.
The instructions did not align with the contents, but I managed to get 7.57 installed and validated, or so I thought.
However I don't think the install was successful.
When I open the diagbox shortcut on the desktop it opens to a blank screen and then shuts down.
Before I wipe it all and start again. Is there anything I can do to resolve? I have obtained the licence file.

Re: Lexia install problem
Not sure what use the second picture is to be honest... but the first thing I can see from your bottom right toolbar is network activity.... You realise you are not supposed to have any active internet connection whilst using it?
Did you make a copy of your licence file once it was initially activated and before installing any updates? If so, disconnect the internet connection, close diagbox, copy the licence file back over, restart the laptop and let us know what happens on launch.

Re: Lexia install problem
It was screwed before I reconnected.
The second screen is the diagbox app opened. There is nothing in the centre of the screen so it just reflected the room.
The instructions said to have the connections on during install so might have screwed up then.

Have the network adapter enabled / switched on, but make sure there is no actual live internet connection.

Re: Lexia install problem
Step 1 was clear that the internet was to be on.
However I've reinstalled it now with it turned off and all is up and running up to 7.57. I didn't opt to go for the 8.17 install yet.
Got a pile of fault codes one of which was the brake switch which might be the explanation for the hunting.
Diagbox had trouble picking up my car. But the lexia itself was easy enough to use.

Re: Lexia install problem
Lexia is the correct software for your car. Diagbox natively only launches for vehicles from about 2008 on and is not designed for earlier car, so will never work with a Xsara.
DON’T install version 8. There’s utterly no point, it is only for Diagbox and as your car won’t work with DB you will get no benefit. Lexia is the default for vehicles earlier than 2008 and is no longer updated. So the version launched by Diagbox 7.** will be the latest one anyway.
The instructions are not right on that bit. It will try and connect up to PSA servers and you will have issues.
