1.9 glow plug change
hi everyone I am about to change the glowplugs on my 1.9 berlingo and wondered what I should expect as regards to difficulty as some citroens appear to be real pigs in this department according to these pages. would just like to say what a great help this forum has been and thank all who contribute.PS just had a turbo diesel berlingo on hire while mine was being repared thanks to the bt lorry that reversed into me; what a difference to mine;I dont want to give it back its a real joy to drive and so much more relaxing after a 600 mile day.

I did the glow plugs on my Xantia 1.9 TD over the weekend. The plug behind the fuel pump was dead and was older than the rest of the plugs i.e. the rest of the plugs had been changed but it hadn't.
The plug behind the fuel pump was difficult to say the least, in the end after a lot of dismantling and swearing, I removed it with an offset ring spanner. Incidentally during the dismantling I managed to drop the universal joint out of my 1/4 socket set, last seen going down between the alternator and the engine block, I don't think I'll be seeing it again any time soon.
After doing that one plug the rest seemed like childs play.
