faulty plip !

I dont know if this will work with any one else but I have had a remote central locking plip on a 05 N reg xantia that ceased to work.
After re soldering a few dry / cracked joints it still was not working, but I found that if I only put one battery in instead of two it worked ok as long as I did not use it over and over again. Hope this helps someone !!
