New water pump at low mileage timing belt change?
2008 C5 X7 2.0i with 51,000 miles. Service book says change timing belt at 100k miles or 10 years, so at 11 years it's obviously in injury time. But with the relatively low mileage do I need to follow the usual advice to get the water pump done at the same time?

It’s your choice.
There are three kits available - the belt only, the belt and rollers, then all the above plus the water pump for about £188 for a genuine Citroen kit plus fitting of course.
I had the lot done to be safe and a huge difference having the pulley / tensioning rollers done. It’s the labour that costs so again your choice. The water pumps rarely go on these - not heard of one yet - but for the relatively low additional cost of replacing it at the same time - it makes sense.
Bear in mind Citroen fixed price repairs for the timing only include the belt - but they will do the other parts if asked for and update the fixed price accordingly.
Timing parts prices for your petrol X7 inc. VAT
0816G4 (Genuine Citroen Belt only) £123.12
0831V6 (Genuine Citroen Belt, Tensioning Roller & Retractor Roller) £178.67
1609525580 (Genuine Citroen Belt, Tensioning Roller, Retractor Roller & Water Pump) £188.52
1609120980 (Cheaper non-Citroen compatible parts- Belt, Tensioning Roller, Retractor Roller & Water Pump) £135.22
So for the extra, well worth getting the lot done.

As Marc says your choice but if i am paying someone to do the job, i get them to do the lot, you only pay for labour once, and that is the expensive bit
