Re: Please help
Hi, and
to the forum. Might I suggest you post up the VIN (which will be obscured so only Moderators can read it) so that a Moderator can see exactly WHICH engine your car has, and then give you the correct information.

Re: Please help
Once I have the VIN I should be able to get the information for you.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Re: Please help
I am NOT suggesting this is how you should do it, but all the heads I have ever done seem to be fine...
Friends Clio petrol 1.4 head gasket failed.
I fixed it about a year ago and didn't have the correct torque settings.
I tightened the bolts by hand (fingers), then pulled them up by a standard 12 inch ratchet until they started to get tight.
Then, I pulled each one up with the ratchet a quarter turn (90 degree's).
I then pulled each one 180 degree's using a 18 inch ratchet (for torsional force) and once more did each bolt 90 degree's.
The engine is perfect and the car is driven every day several miles through city traffic and back, then at speed to visit his girly girl
So far so good.... Just saying
But as I said, only use as a last measure

Has anyone seen the plot?
