XUD 7 Alternator replacement

Hello,
I have a Peugeot XUD 7 powered boat, I would like to upgrade the alternator.

I have found a Hella 80 amp (new) on a popular auto parts supplier.

Please could members advise if this would be a simple straight replacement, the current alternator is very close to the oil cooler

Take the old alternator with you when you go to buy a new one.
You can then check sizing, and importantly mounting centres, and they may be able to offer you an exchange price.
Might be better to go to a trusted motor factor, rather than risk and online purchase. Alternator prices are fiercely competitive. Beware anything really cheap.
