C4 2005 key codes

Hello

I recently purchased a C4 1.6 HDI 05 plate, love it to bits but the immobiliser chip in the main remote key broke ("Electronic Anti-theft faulty" message when key is in ignition barrel).

At first I thought it was the ignition immobiliser ring that broke since lock barrel feels loose, but the previous owner managed to find the spare key to the car so it drives again.

The key card is lost since long and I have called Citroën in Sweden but they informed me that they are unable to give me the codes over the phone and that I have to go physically to a main dealer, which is a five hour drive. This is why I am quite keen on getting the codes on other means.


I can get acces to PP2000/Lexia diagnostics software and since I have a working key, getting the 4 digit code for the immobiliser won't be that hard will it?

From what I have read there should also be a code for the key shape to cut, can I get this code from the diagnostics software as well?

I have found various sites online providing these codes for payment, but only to UK / Irish registered vehicles.

You cant get the immobiliser code form Lexia, It should not make any difference that the car is not UK registered as the codes are obtained from the VIN.
There are tools that can easily decode the mechanical code from the lock. The mechanical code is not too important unless you don't have a key to duplicate from.
There are specialists that can obtain the code by extracting it from the BSI unit with special software, normally the types of people that do remapping etc.

I got the code after calling citroen again speaking to a different representative, I will look for a tuning specialist to get the immobiliser programming sorted.
