Further to my post on Peugeot maybe its better here LUCAS to BOSCH conversion , Thanks for all replies , yes the lucas was good but it starting leaking terrible and i needed a mot quick living in the sticks got to get to hospital doctors etc , i took top off bosch pump and it was pretty scabby inside locked sleeve , i forgot i had a new pump in a box ( bought on here ) so fitted that today yes bosch pipes and injectors , running good but still need to know a few things PLEASE , rear cable connector on pump what does that do , front cable connector to round silver tube with 2 water pipe connectors , top diaphragm connector i think goes to inlet manifold car not pulling well slight uphill , i disconnected lucas at pin unscrew now incorrect MPH and management light on , i should of taken pics of XM i took all gear off 2 years ago so lost track of pipe/cable work , i took engine alloy water pipe manifold on right side of oil filler and a small stub outlet i think goes on front of head by pump , Any answers appreciated in advance even 1 problem at a time i think my speedo and management light concern me most , Many Thanks

The Bosch booklet covering the VE pumps (there were three types) can be dowlnoaded here:

Bosch publication (part number) is 1 987 722 164, dated 1998/99.
