Beware bad sphere/LHM advice

Post by noz »

When searching for pictures of cut-away spheres I came across this crowd:
http://www.autospares-group.com/citroen_sphere.htm
The advice given is :
"We also carry the special fluid 'LHM' , it is essential to renew the fluid everytime you replace a Citroen Sphere. Never ever use LHM Fluid that has been in service, this will invalidate the warranty on any Sphere purchased from us"
It's a bear trap for all unsuspecting Citroen owners. It suggests that not replacing the ENTIRE contents of your hydraulic system when you fit one of their spheres invalidates the warranty of the sphere.
It's advice like this that get's reputable retailers and Citroens in general a bad name. Don't buy from these type of people who would scaremonger you into buying 5 litres of LHM for every sphere you buy.
cheers

And I wonder how many unscrupulous clutch centres [:(!] have spotted a cracked clutch arm and charged for a whole new clutch, such is the difference that replacing a failing arm makes.............
