Peugeot 407 1.6HDi SR Saloon

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

Category N with little more that a ding in the front wing and cracked grill, under 60k miles, what's it worth? I might buy it.

2010

Yes that's the one and a saloon not hatchback 2010 with 59k miles, I've seen all the photos and it looks ok, can't be any worse than mine at the moment

Not the best engine unless it has been meticulously serviced from new.
Allegedly.
I almost bought a beautiful black 407 estate last year. 08 and in superb condition, only £1800.
Wish I had now. The bloke who did buy it can't praise it enough.

You'll know about insuring a category N vehicle Gibbo...do the insurance co's get awkward/expensive about cat N insurance?

I take it your "Silly Thoughts" thread and this one are related, have you condemned the c5?

Got the fuel pump on the bench and run it up to speed , it just dribbles out of the return pipe nothing out of the high pressure pipe, I've bought a second hand one and waiting for it to come, meanwhile I need wheels so I've been shopping around for a cheapie

And now un-committed, did my own HPI check and it comes up as category S not category N so the deal's off.

My local breakers Neil, used to be good but got too big...………….for their boots :-D They only want to sell the big stuff, engines, gearboxes etc. or insurance salvage write offs.
They've got a huge site stuffed to the gills with write offs.
