bleed nipples

Hi, my S1 Xantia needs some new rear , bleed nipples. They are badly worn, is this something that I can get off the shelf( if I knew the thread size) or is it Citroen only? thanks in advance Terry.

I think they are M8 thread, with a 90° tip angle.
Part number is 1210 06, but NFP (no longer available) from Citroen.
Same part used on BX, C25, Xan I and II, XM I & II.
You should be able to get hold of some from a motor factor.

Using a flare nut spanner (single hex) prevents these from getting worn...

I would also dose them daily (for a week) with Plus Gas, to help free them up.

& get stainless ones - so you never have this problem again: they don't get enough use to wear - but they are very vulnerable, & will virtually rust away.

Freeing agent of choice is a given, removal tool of choice has to be a good quality 1/4 drive, walldrive socket & a fine ratchet.
