Creaky Centre Console. C5 X7

The centre console on my C5 X7 (Hydractive 3+) has developed a very annoying and obvious creaking.

This happens all the time while driving or pressing a leg up against it.
It is almost as if the entire plastic is creaking itself and not at any joint, has anyone else had this problem, are there an obvious fix?

Mine's done it since I first got it. I just put up with it!

oh dear, that doesn’t sound promising.
I know Silicone spray can stop dashboard squeaks but this sounds as though the plastic itself is creaking.

Mine doesn't / hasn't ever done that. I suspect it might be down to heat stress.... I do have the cream leather interior, so the light coloured trim which might reflect some of the heat.

Interestingly. in the blistering heat a couple of days ago the dashboard surface in the C3 started creaking a bit whilst driving, but hasn't done it yesterday or today. So that's my theory.
