04 citroen c8

hi,
had the c8 now for 5 yrs and no real problems,recently the clutch melted on me, had this changed as well as the clutch slave cylinder and crank sensor [melted when clutch went] problem is that since the crank sensor was changed the car will not start when at running temp. as soon as its attempted the engine sounds as though its going to jump out of its mounts and then turns off, after several attempts it will start and its fine.
took it back to garage and the crank and cam sensors have been changed now 3 times, only error that it gets is syncro between sensors.
when cold or below 90 deg car will fire up with no problems any body had this or idea of what it could be?

A possibility (not definite, but certainly worth checking) is that the crank sensor has something lifting it slightly away from the correct position. It is trying to see a magnet (at least I think it is a magnet) on the flywheel, and if it is close to the limit of its detection range temperature could affect it (so when it is cold it has contracted slightly, and is close enough to 'see' the magnet, but as it warms up things expand enough to stop the sensor 'seeing' the magnet). I would consider taking out the sensor and having a really good hard look where it fits, just to see if something is down there (such as a small remnant of the original sensor).
