Xantia HDI Timing / Aux Belt Kit Recommendations

Unread post by XantiaExclusiveHDI »

Hi all

Been a while since I posted!

So as a precaution I'm looking to replace my timing belt (10 years old now) and the auxiliary belt (?? years old) along with the water pump & tensioners etc.

Could anyone recommend manufacturers for each kit that is as close to OE as possible? Have seen kits from Bosch / Febi / Dayco / INA / Gates / Conti amongst others.

Thanks :)

Hi

I've done this job several times. Last time I bought a kit with belt, water pump and tensioners made by Gates who are OEM. Dayco are also one to be recommended

good luck

Seconded.
Never had a problem with the Gates kit. Well, not on a PSA engine, anyway.

PSA used several suppliers for the original belts, including Gates and Dayco.

I am going to do the same job on my berlingo 2.0 hdi. I am going to find out how much they ask for an OEM kit and if it is not so bad then I am going with OEM kit. And also with OEM water pump. Also what do you think should I also order new OEM bolts for tensioner , roller and crankshaft pulley. I have heared that sometimes the tensioner roller bolt has snapped during reuse( maybe using wrong torque?).

OK - Gates are showing one kit for the timing belt & pump with a part number KP15524XS.

However they are showing three different kits for the auxiliary belt for HDI 110 cars with aircon:

K056PK1735 - Sanden
K026PK1750 - Delphi
K016PK1745 - Delphi

How can I find out which will be the one for my car?

Thanks :)

If you were to post up the VIN (which will, for security reasons, be obscured so only Moderators can read it) a Moderator can then look up what your car had when she rolled out of the factory, including the A/C equipment.

Thanks Hell Razor5543

I have my VIN, will it be automatically hidden or is there a way to make it viewable only to moderators on the forum?

I have two part numbers now, and it depends on whether the AC compressor is a Sanden model (part no: K056PK1735) or a Delphi model (part no: K026PK1750). Is there any way to tell?

Thanks :)

OK - the part number cast into the compressor casing is 6560502. I think on research this is a Delphi compressor. Can anyone confirm? This would suggest I need belt K026PK1750

Thanks :)

For your VIN, there can be either type of compressor fitted:

Delphi Compressor Citroen Part No: 6453AQ, Delphi 1135290
Sanden Compressor Citroen Part No: 5453TK, Sanden SD7V16 QA1106 and SD7V16 QA1227

As for the belt:

If Sanden Compressor Fitted: K6-LE1736 (Citroen Part: 5750YF)
If Delphi Compressor Fitted: K6-LE1750 (Citroen Part: 1606353780 or 5750YG) Both these are still available from parts.

Thanks Marc :)

Having wiped off some grime I found the part number on the label which is 1135290, so it's a Delphi :)

Better get ordering the kits and work myself up to the job in hand 8-[
