C5 (mk1) rear side window blinds?

Post by Harlequin »

Does anyone have the part number for the C5 mk1 rear side window blinds? I think they were a dealer option ; thanks to Dicky I now have some for my xantia, but would like some for the C5.

The C5 MK1 and MK II never had rear side window blinds. Only the Mark III (X7) and that was only as part of the Concert, Vision, Leather or Detection Packs and even these were removed from later 2009 onward due to cost.

hmmm , not even bolt on ones? The xantia ones screw into the door card, and are the shape of the window!

Ok, so you are talking aftermarket ones... They never had built-in ones as an option like the MK II can have.

There are some accessory ones they had available at the time, which fix on and are pretty generic, so I wouldn't expect them to fit the entire window - see below:

These are no longer available from Citroen, but the part number was 945950 in case it helps track some down - but realistically, there are aftermarket ones available that will be very similar - stuck on with suction cups on the glass type of things Simon.

I've had a search and there is one place selling these for £59.88 inc. VAT plus UK delivery of £7.20, totalling: £67.08:

But you can also get the collapsible ones that fit into the complete window recess with little clips to hold them in place. This allows the window to be wound up and down with them in place - but they provide 100% coverage - so a good wind and bug stopper.

We ordered some for a relative for their Picasso - easy to fit and can be pulled out collapsed and stored away when not required.

There are 6 in a set, and cover the rear door windows, the rear quarterlight, and finally the rear window (in 2 halves).

Fitting guide (ignore the X7 picture at the top - they are for the MK I and MK II)

Just wanted to give this closure and say a big thank you to Marc.

I finally bought and fitted a set from car shades - they cover the 2 rear side and rear quarter lights and the rear window. the rear side windows arnt a great fit , but the company happily sent out 4 additional clips so now they are snug. Excellent customer service and a very very good product
