zx steering wheel column problem

does anyone know if theres an adjustment or something on the current steering wheel adjustment lever to make the column stiffer to adjust because it goes up and down quite freely. and its annoying when getting in and out of the car.
if u managed to get that!!lol

This shouldn't happen to the steering, It should stay in the same place when set. I think that there's some kind of spring attachment inside the cowling that you may be able to ajust. I've read in my haynes manual under "steering column removal" that there is indeed some form of ajustment and it involves tightening a nut on the steering column. Have a look in a manual and see if it makes any sence.
