drive shafts 1.4 to 1.9 TD ZX

Being a tight wad with the old money I've been on E bay and found a local bloke who's sellig a pair of ZX 1.4i drive shafts. will these fit a ZX 1.9TD? Answers needed ASAP. Both 93 models both no ABS Thanks.[?][?]

Very unlikely, GSF list shafts for (LH part nos):
N43876 - 1.4
N43878 - 1.6/1.8/1.9/1.9D
N43882 - 2.0/1.9TD
If you need a new pair you're going to have to find the right ones!

I know about the parts listed but I cantthink why they would have different sizes. Looks like a trip to halfords so as to open a Haynes manual for the 1.4i.

Think your fighting a lost battle. Get the proper bit. As I doubt a 1.4 shaft would take the extra torque that a turbo diesel would put out. I would imagine that the td shaft is strengthed in some way. Apart from that the 1.4 uses an MA box and the td BE so doubt that they will interchangebable

No way the 1.4 shafts will fit, because the 1.4 uses a different hub and wheel bearing.
